GRACE SYKES: I am a Postgraduate Research student in the Department of Geography at the University of Leicester. My doctoral research looks at undergraduate's perceptions and experiences of risk at university. I am interested in debating how emotions may be anticipated in theory yet how these evolve in practice can be unpredictable, and our own reactions unexpected. I am also interested how we use these emotions to inform our research both in the field, analysis and whilst writing
THOMAS GRANT: I am a Postgraduate Research student in the Department of Geography at the University of Leicester. JOSEPH DE LAPPE: I am a Postgraduate Research student in the Centre for Education & Educational Technology at the Open University at Milton Keynes. My doctoral research has investigated the emergence of asexual activism as a contemporary sexual and gender social movement. I'm particularly interested in emotional emergence as a consequence of the affective journey travelled by the researcher; how we acknowledge that process at all stages of research
